Blount County Emergency Communications District received re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) for Public Safety Communications in Colorado Springs, CO on July 25, 2015. The Center was first accredited in 2009. Accreditation Team members Susan Porter, Richee Kidd, Accreditation Manager Donna Burnette, retired director Jeff Caylor and Board Chairman William Brewer represented the center at the conference. The accreditation term is for three years.
