The Blount County Emergency Communcations District is continuously taking applications for the position of Full Time Public Safety Dispatcher. Applicants must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience is preferred but not required. Criminal background check, psychological exam, physical exam, typing test proficiency of at least 25 words per minute, and data entry skills are required. Applicant must be able to pass our basic public safety telecommunicator certification course and stringent in-house training program.
