The Blount County Emergency Communcations District is continuously taking applications
for the position of Full Time and Part Time Public Safety Dispatcher. Applicants must be 18 or older with a high
school diploma or equivalent. Experience is preferred but not required. Applicant must be able to pass our basic
public safety telecommunicator certification course and stringent in-house training
program. The following criteria must also be met:
Criminal background check
Psychological Exam
Physical Exam
Typing Test (proficiency of at least 25 words per minute)
Data Entry skills
Written Exam
